My son isn’t quite ready yet for potty training, but we’ve been begun discussing it with him. He just turned two and from what I’ve been told from parents of boys, potty training can take a little longer for boys. I would love for my son to be the exception to this, of course!

My daughter used to have a book where the little girl in the book sat on the potty and told the toddler all about the happenings in the bathroom ;) I could certainly buy one of those books for my son; however, when I heard about a personalized potty training book from Bookadoo, I knew I definitely wanted to review it!

The title of the book on the Bookadoo website is “Potty Hero”. However, once you add your child’s name, the title of the book is, “-----, are you coming out to play?” The book is personalized not only by your child’s name, but also by your child’s face! Your child’s face is placed on the body of the little boy or girl in the story, which completely immerses your child into the book! A variety of animals come to ask your child if they want to come out to play; however, your child explains through a fun rhyme as to why they can’t – they still have to use the potty! This book is available for both boys and girls in both hardcover and paperback.

I started hysterically laughing when I opened this book. My son’s face beaming up at me through this adorable book made me smile instantly. I chose to review the hardcover book. This is a quality, hardcover book. The pictures are SO bright and colorful! The incorporation of the animals is clever and the fact that my son is feeding these animals while sitting on a little potty is hilarious and adorable at the same time!

My son absolutely loves his new book. He understands what the potty is for and doesn’t want to sit on it yet, but he thinks it’s hysterical that he’s sitting on one while talking to animals. I’m really hoping that his eagerness to listen to the book and look at the pictures will motivate him to try the potty. Bookadoo has kindly offered to sponsor a giveaway for a free Bookadoo book!
